Koinos is seeking applications for blog editors
[Update: Assessment of applications has been closed on 8 February 2021. We have reached out to shortlisted applicants. We thank you all for an overwhelming response to the call].
Now in its third year, Koinos [Koinos/the Blog] provides a platform for discussing and debating issue related to commercial and treaty arbitration. In this relatively short duration, the Blog has accepted and published several insightful pieces authored by law students and legal practitioners from all across India. The Blog also hosts a working (i) repository of arbitration resources; and (ii) guidelines on how to draft a strong arbitration clause.
Thanks to our readers and guest contributors, Koinos has developed a growing base of daily readers and followers. The blog is currently listed among ‘Top 20 Arbitration Blogs, Websites & Influencers in 2020’.
Koinos seeks to appoint up to three blog editors (Blog Editors).
India has the potential to become an ideal seat for domestic and international arbitration. However, India needs to traverse a long road before getting there. Koinos was founded with the objective of making a tangible effort in bridging this gap. To that end, the Blog aims to operate as a platform for people from all schools of thought and nationalities to share their candid views, analysis, and critique of India’s arbitration regime.
The Blog is also, of course, open to publishing pieces on arbitration issues and decisions made by courts and investment arbitration tribunals based outside India. The primary goal, however, is to help shape the course of Indian arbitration law.
We are looking for motivated individuals who are willing to work towards this goal. Blog Editors will be required mainly to solicit, curate, review, and also author (from time to time) posts which comply with the Blog’s guest post guidelines (available here).
They will also need to coordinate with the chief (founding) editor for administrative and creative aspects of the Blog.
Eligibility
We welcome applications from anyone with an interest in writing and arbitration. No specific educational or professional qualifications are required. That said, strong analytical and editorial skills are a must.
Remuneration
The position is without remuneration. Names and affiliations of the Blog Editors will be displayed on the Koinos website.
